Nonlinear Semigroup Methods in Problems with Hysteresis
نویسندگان
چکیده
Results from a nonlinear semigroup theory are applied to get existence and uniqueness for PDEs with hysteresis. The hysteresis nonlinearity considered is of the generalized play operator type, but can be easily extended to a generalized Prandtl-Ishlinskii operator of play type, both possibly discontinuous.

Periodic boundary value problems for controlled nonlinear impulsive evolution equations on Banach spaces
This paper deals with the Periodic boundary value problems for Controlled nonlinear impulsive evolution equations. By using the theory of semigroup and fixed point methods, some conditions ensuring the existence and uniqueness. Finally, two examples are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed results.
متن کاملNonlinear Dynamic Modeling and Hysteresis Analysis of Aerospace Hydro - dynamical Control Valves
A new procedure for deriving nonlinear mathematical modeling for a specific class of aerospace hydro - mechanical control valves is presented. The effects of friction on the dynamic behavior of these types of valves along with the experimental verifictions are also given. The modeling approach is based on the combination of the following three tasks: decomposition of the valve into simple speci...
متن کاملA Curse-of-Dimensionality-Free Numerical Method for Solution of Certain HJB PDEs
In previous work of the author and others, max-plus methods have been explored for solution of first-order, nonlinear Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman partial differential equations (HJB PDEs) and corresponding nonlinear control problems. These methods exploit the max-plus linearity of the associated semigroups. In particular, although the problems are nonlinear, the semigroups are linear in the max-plu...
متن کاملADAPTIVE FUZZY OUTPUT FEEDBACK TRACKING CONTROL FOR A CLASS OF NONLINEAR TIME-VARYING DELAY SYSTEMS WITH UNKNOWN BACKLASH-LIKE HYSTERESIS
This paper considers the problem of adaptive output feedback tracking control for a class of nonstrict-feedback nonlinear systems with unknown time-varying delays and unknown backlash-like hysteresis. Fuzzy logic systems are used to estimate the unknown nonlinear functions. Based on the Lyapunov–Krasovskii method, the control scheme is constructed by using the backstepping and adaptive techniqu...
متن کاملDistributed dynamic programming for discrete-time stochastic control, and idempotent algorithms
Previously, idempotent methods have been found to be extremely fast for solution of dynamic programming equations associated with deterministic control problems. The original methods exploited the idempotent (e.g., max-plus) linearity of the associated semigroup operator. However, it is now known that the curse-of-dimensionality-free idempotent methods do not require this linearity. Instead, it...
